Yeah, there is an option in idrive to turn it on, off, or dim them while driving.

Does the Bang & Olufsen system really sound much better than the HK with Surround Sound DSP?

I haven't heard the basic system, but I can tell you I am not overly impressed with the B&O system. So I doubt the sound is really that much better. Either way its a factory car stereo so there is a limit of how great its going to sound.

I've been pretty vocal in the past about my regret over skipping the B&O option. My regret is 85% visual and 15% auditory. Even if the B&O sounded identical, I think I'd still wish I had the B&O because it looks so damn good.

Absolutely stunning! Beautiful shots for a beautiful car.

If you have any items or place your hand in the empty compartment at the door, it will get illuminated by the same amber glow. Additionally for the GC, I believe you get an extra sconce ambient light on the B-pillar as well.

Great job with the real camera.

Set the system to Expanded, play the B&O demo disc that came with the car and you will hear what the system is fully capable of.

There are very tiny LED's tucked under the edges of the aluminum speaker grilles that are not immediately obvious but they are most definitely there. Just crank the dimmer dial next to your light switch controls up or down and you will see them. The front speaker tweeter lens is probably the most visually eye-catching as it lifts and lights up whenever the system is activated.

Got to pick up the gran coupe the other day and I love it. Everyone is in awe with the fronzen bronze, I really like the interior but it's not every ones taste. I showed it to my parents this morning and they didn't care for the interior much. After driving this I feel like I got ripped off with all the range rovers I have had over the years. The electronics in the bmw are on another level.

Here are some pics, still need to get the car tinted
i love the interior. its so cool

Your car is stunning! I like the interior as well however would probably be difficult to keep clean. I bet that frozen brown turns heads forsure!

I am jealous, this is truly mouth watering, congrats mate.

I was wondering can you raise or lower the ambient lighting in the car?

There is an analog dimmer roller dial next to your light controls. You can swing it up or down to control the ambient light intensity.
