My Rattle / Wastegate Noise Free Downpipe Choice

Lot of discussion out there on downpipes.. lot of people have ratttle and wastegate noise issues esp with the AMS pipes.. I wanted to let everyone know I do NOT have these issues.. and heres my setup..

I chose Fabworx / Undercover Racing Downpipes. They are 2.75" and taper down right from the exhaust port. They have PERFECT fitment, no issues with 02 sensors, made great power on the dyno and best of all are Rattle and Wastegate Noise FREE. In addition to keeping the noise and heat down, I heat wrapped them (bought the material on ebay).. I also had them ceramic coated at a local shop.. If you go catless you will still have to turn off the CEL light thru programming..

This is one option if you want rattle free, problem free, perfect fitment downpipes with no issues..not endorsing any product just offering my personal solution..

Is this company selling direct or through vendor? Did you do catted or catless?

WHAT ... how do you get the CEL to turn off ... yes I get mine on occasionally with catless Super Sprint Down pipes ... but its off more than it is on

I just purchased the catted version and I am super pumped to get them installed. This company bends over backwards to make the customer happy. I will report back after I get them installed.

I got no guarantee that the CEL would not turn on if I went with 200 or 300 cell cats, so I think I'll go with catless and spend the money saved on a tune

Tell you what when you get one from any aftermarket vendor than I would worry about it. Even the AMS guys said it could happen.

I just see the outstanding build quality compared to every other downpipes being sold.

I am just curious what improvements it will bring other than glorious sound

Yes the build quality is spot on perfect, welds and metal quality. With a simple heat wrap the temps stay down.. I highly suggest this.. It also helps with cushioning some of the exhaust noise level.

is there a problem with excessive heat? and why would you want to cushion the noise level?

No issues with excessive heat, but the wrap keeps temps down under the hood which do help with maintaining horsepower output.. Its just added insurance... and as for noise, I mean as far as engine ticks and drone and turbo wooshing etc.. just kinda helps muffle it a bit.. not necessary but nice.. Enjoy and make sure you research a shop who has done a few of these installs.. I also added New gaskets to be on the safe side.. these can be picked up at any dealer... cheers!
