Richard, I will ping you on how it all works privately but I am not convinced the Adaptive Beam Assist option will work due to my car not having lane assist / speed detection hardware. We will find out!
Out of interest, how many Silverstone II with 433M wheels (the better ones!!) are in the UK now? Macca - These are the configs I am looking to change remotely.... Auto High Beam Adaptive Assist Turn Signals in HUD Door Mirrors Auto close on Comfort Access Lock / Auto Open (no need to hold for 2 seconds) Rear Lights on by default with DRL Camera speed restriction removed. Anyone else in love with the 'burble' you can make the car do??? I think that's costing me a few MPG but I LOVE the sound! |

24 UK Silverstone M6 GC with 433M wheels.
Burble? I just like the scream it makes at full chat and 6,000 rpm plus. |

It seems to burble in first sometimes Hargreaves, how do you make it burble?

I had the adaptive high-beam feature coded for my M6, and it works just as advertised in the YouTube video. It's amazing. And I've not yet had any oncoming driver "complain" with the high-beam flash. The fellow who did the coding for me also enabled several other seriously cool features (you pick the ones you want). Contact him at codemycar@gmail.com.

iDrive Touch, as you say, is largely a waste of time but I am intrigued about the lights - if, when you push the high beam assist button on the side of the indicator: You can physically see the lights go up and down in an on-off/up-down fashion, then it has the normal high beam assist as already fitted. You can't see a deliberate change of light (and it just subtly moves the light beam round) then it sounds like it has the adaptive version. You need to take me out at night in it! However, as someone who enjoys nothing more than an afternoon (or day!) waxing my car, I found the film a bit obstructive. Saying this, my M6 now has a few stone chips which can now only be fixed with paint so I kind of wish I'd at least has the front bumper done! |

Totally agree about the film, there is no doubt that the car looks better without it. However, I've already had a big mark in the bonnet film which would have caused a very large stone chip, I've simply had the film replaced and the car still looks like new. I'm keeping the M5 film free so I can indulge in my quest for perfect paint, the M6 meanwhile sacrifices a little to keep the stone chips away.

The last M6 Coupe VIN I know is C968399 which is at the end of the block of 500 initially allocated. It was made on 12th Feb 2014. If anyone has a RHD M6 Coupe built after 12 Feb 2014 could you let me know the last 7 digits of the VIN (or even just the first 3 of the last 7)!

I failed to see why the M6 did not get this earlier The I-Drive touch is worthless IMO, I never use it.
