Since my son woke me up at 4am invading my bed and kicking me in the face, my head started to spin about this issue:
Recently gave up my 2011 550i Dinan stage 2 and got a 2014 M6 GC with competition package.
Some years ago did a video of some takeoffs with the former one from 0-120 mph (0-200 kpm) aproxx.
Comparing some launch controls and some stats I don't see much difference from this cars
Stats say 11.x sec for m cars
And around 12.4 secs for 550i
Don't get me wrong M6 all the way
Here are some videos for you guys to compare and give your opinion
The torque was 580 on the Dinan and pulled pretty hard off the line
The 550i video it's mine and the M5 video is from you tube
I would like to see you thoughts

M5....

The CP M6 even in GC form will trap at least 8mph more in the 1/4 mile . Its not even close. Congrats on you're new beast, it is beautiful.

Thanks for your input, I agree on the speed trap and end speed in a 1/4 mile.

I have been reading about it.
Can you get it just by itself without anything else?
How much gain do you get and how much does it cost?

The M6 is so underated from the factory. I hot 545 wheel hp on mustang dyno which is like 626 at the crank. I only have BMS and charcoal filter delete and granted different dyno but hit 590 wheel hp and 545 wheel LB/FT.....The car is unbelivabley fast on the HWY....On a clear day played with a Gallardo and smoked him by many car lengths every time. Also played with a M6 vert that prob was stock but pulled hard on him too.

I had Dinan stage 5 on my 2011 750xi, total waste of money, pulled 414.5 WHP

Here is the BMS info. I'm waiting for another 600 miles, so I can install it after the 1200 mile service. It states a 50whp gain with pump gas.

Apparently it took 10 mins to install, my local dealership did it for me. I got 622whp = 713bhp on Dynojet

0-60 in 3.3 second???!!!!
I guess the measurement is not accurate. It's hard to believe this number with a RWD car like M6. For sure with the mods you have, you can reach an amazing number in 1/4 mile . I expected 3.5-3.6 for 0-60 and low 11 for 1/4 mile. but anyways you have a powerful and beautiful car
BTW with these numbers you can beat most of the cars in drag race as well
