Nice to hear that you are enjoying the new Akrapovic. Just so the M6 owners know the original poster ended up having a Eisenmann Race level on his M6 not the Sport performance. There is zero drone with the Sport level.

I couldn't be happier with the Akrapovic exhaust. It sounds awesome with zero drone. I was mistaken in my original post, I had the race version of Eisenmann exhaust not the sport as I originally posted. In a direct comparison with the Eisenmann race exhaust, the Eisenmann was louder. The Akrapovic sound is awesome!! Will post pics and video this weekend.

How can the M Performance Exhaust drone and not the Akra? They are exactly the same system.

The OEM performance exhaust for M6 would be no drone I guess, Because it is totally same as Akrapovic, the only brand sounds good and zero drone.

Has anyone done a direct comparison of the Competition Pack exhaust and the Akra (or M-Performance)?

Haven't seen a direct comparison but I'm sure the difference is night and day. I have the Competition Package and I don't hear much difference between my exhaust and other M6s and M5s I've heard without the package. In fact the Competition Package exhaust is identical to the stock exhaust, the only difference being the baffles have been removed from the mufflers in the Competition Package.

I find that the CP exhaust has a very slight drone, I wonder if the Akra would be better or worse in this respect? I am however worried that the Akra might be a little too loud for my neighbours, the CP exhaust is quite loud enough on a cold start at 4:30am!

I had the comp pack exhaust and it was just a slight upgrade to the stock exhaust. The Akrapovic blows it away!!! No contest. Zero drone with the Akrapovic, small drone with the cp exhaust. Much louder during a cold start. It's awesome.

You won't need the downpipes. The difference will be noticeable enough as is.

So you're saying the Akra is much louder on cold start then the CP? If that's the case than it's not a viable option for me.
