LCI will be in 1Q 2015 or 4Q 2014 for 6 series (F12,F13,F06) - MY 2016.
It must be full 4 years before facelift. Just like in 7 series(F01,F02) 2008-2012 or 5 series(F07,F10,F11) 2009-2013

MY 2014 6-series has the latest iDrive version 4.2 but without touchpad

Technically, the F10 M5 started in 2012. Therefore, '15 would be 4 years. For my E60, there was only 2 years prior on the M5 before the LCI was released. The M6 GC was released with a model year of 2013, so this is actually it's 3rd year coming up, which aligns with my E60 M5. I was told by a few people now that it's definitely an LCI. I guess we'll all find out in the coming months.

Yep -- I was referring to the touchpad on the iDrive. Will be interesting to see if it comes with that.

First production models of the M6 GC were built in early February 2013, that's MY2013. MY2014 started September 2013. I can't see that MY2015 will start in March 2014. That does not mean that there won't be some changes in March 2014, maybe even LCI but more likely just minor additions, maybe fully adaptive lights, iDrive touch etc, but it will not be a MY2015.

If this keeps up we are going to see 2019 models come out in 2016... To say that a car that is built in March 2014 is a 2015 model is stretching it too far imo.
But if that's the case, congrats to the OP!

Totally agree. I thought it was a mistake too. But once my dealer got the call that April ED was a 2015 LCI and if I wanted a 2014, I had to do a March ED delivery or sooner, I knew it wasn't a mistake. BMW actually had to call my dealer and tell them what the choice was, but if I had to do April ED, I had no choice but to take a 2015 model.

It's a 2015. My 2014 paperwork is being scrapped and my new paperwork is for a 2015. BMW called my dealer to correct them too. We all thought it was September too. Once they got my ED order, my dealership was contacted of the mistake. March or earlier and I would have a 2014. April and beyond and it's a 2015 -- their words, not mine and not my dealer. Unless BMW is clueless and made a mistake (which would be a big mistake for them to tell my dealer to cancel the original order), I now have a 2015 being built for April pick-up.

First MY of 6er was 2012, so 2012, 2013, 2014 and LCI 2015. The 2014 model has been out since spring 2013 so makes perfect sense. They release the new MY 6's in spring and everything else fall

I wonder what the 6 series LCI will bring, on the base 6 series it has the digital instruments, 4.2 i drive , touch i drive and the orange and white led interior lights.

On the M6, I could see it getting the touch pad, and the dual led interior lights. Other than that I don't see much else changing.

I ordered the car w black 343 wheels. I was told that this finish on the 343 style is very possible, so we'll see if that request gets honored or rejected as the build date gets closer...

Don't get too excited about "Touch" it's worthless IMO , I have used it preciously once total wast of time, just speak it's much quicker.
PS) It does make mistakes on inputting letters also, which again wastes time.

Whoops, I meant 433 wheels. This is what my car is coming with -- not the 343. I was told the 433's might come in black too. My mix-up.

Keep in mind that I am coming from a 2008 iDrive, so anything is better. LOL! The X5's iDrive is better than my M5's, but I really want the new one.

I did ED and PCD for my M6, and if you choose both, BMW will not normally do a car orientation in one of their bays at the PC. They just leave your car outside the PC, and you can drive off after the track time and museum visit. What I did is insist on an orientation, since the Sirrus/XM radio, and some of the others music and telecommunication systems, do not work in Europe, so they are not set up when you first get the car in the States, but the PC can set them up for you.

Can I get some clarity here. My dad is thinking of ordering the M6GC but my dealer told me that 2014 production has stopped and that the 2015 production will start in July. When is the earliest he can get delivery of a 2015 M6GC? Also is this going to be the LCI year for the GC generally?

Great insight! Thanks for the tip -- I will definitely leverage that excuse and try and get it in the bay. I'm really going to attend the 2 day m school, so if I don't get the orientation, it's ok. I already did PC Delivery with a friend a few years ago and I'll just be glad to be reunited with my car again.

Not sure when the 2015's will be stateside, but I am getting mine the 3rd week of April at the Welt. PC Delivery will be late June. I would think if you order one for delivery at your dealer, late April or early May is likely.
