2014 BMW 650i Gran Coupe XDrive Tune

Hello everyone!

I have a 2014 BMW 650i gran coupe xdrive that is going to be getting a stage 1 tune (JB4 tune) done.. I was wondering if anyone else has had this done.. And if so, could you share with me what the performance increase looks like from the original 445hp/480trq?

Thanks alot!

Some people will probably chime in, but also if you "Search this Forum" for JB4 you will get quite a number of results that you can read to get others' views on that tune.

To answer your question quickly. JB4 is a great product and many have used it across all BMWs. Power gains are around 100hp/100tq

You should also look into some maintenance items as well. Depending on your milage, spark plugs and coils should probably be swapped out as well

As mentioned above, be sure to take care of any maintenance items before the tune. The engine will be pushed harder than it would be with the stock tune, so any issues will show more readily.

I know someone that had a JB4 and didn’t have any issues. It really woke the car up and was easy to install and remove.

I personally run the bm3 flash tune and love it. But I’m out of warranty, do all the work on the car myself, and am comfortable flashing the ECU.

Something else to consider is a transmission tune, such as the one through xHP. This made a huge difference for me in the way the car drives.

No matter what you go with I’m sure it’ll make the car more responsive and enjoyable!

I'm running BM3 Stage 1. I went with NGK 97506 plugs and Bosch Coils (per recommendations in this forum). Installation was pretty straightforward - good How-Tos on YouTube

Jb4 BCM installation

I have a 2014 650I gran coupe Xdrive. had the JB4 installed, a couple months back, and am enjoying it. Just found out yesterday I can connect the BCM (Boost Control Module) and run higher maps and get more power. I've searched everywhere how to install them. asked Terry at burger motorsports, he recommended looking at the S63TU install guide and it would be in there. However, the S63TU is a little different so directions aren't direct for my car. Does anyone know, or have a video they can post of how to install the BCM? Please keep your answers relevant to the question in this post.
