Drive Train Module/ Engine light

I have recently inherited 2014 BMW 650 XI from my sibling, i got a lot of work done, in last 4 month. 2 weeks ago had drive train light on, took it to the dealer and found out one of the engines were misfiring, got that fixed. I barely drive and yesterday the car showed the same message and within a quarter of mile it stopped. I had to get it towed this am. Still waiting to hear from the dealer. It only has 40K miles on it, i am emotionally attached to this car since it used to be of my only sibling, i am not sure what the exact issue is or is it even worth keeping it.

The first thing to do is to plug the car into a scanner and get the codes. Can use BimmerCode app with a Bluetooth adaptor to.
