Joining the GC Club

Yesterday I trade in my 2011 Z4 35i for this 640i GC.

My first impression, what a big car!. I had to re-arange several items in my garage to put it in.

Looks good in red - mine is white because my wife doesn't care what I buy as long as it's WHITE! So all three of my vehicles are white.

What a nice car. Mine is carbon black. Waiting for Saturday to take my baby have a shower and wax. I will post pictures after a shower for her.

Question for you, what year is your GC , '13 or '14? I see you got the M sport Pkg, and I thought that only came with the shadowline trim, but I see you have the chrome. Did it just come with chrome or did you special order it?
I ask because I plan to order a '14 650 coupe Sport edition and I want the chrome as well.

In the UK the chrome is a no cost option for MSports. I know because my dealer specd car had this selected to my original consternation (aside from that it had everything I wanted), although now I have it, it doesn't bother me anymore. I'd be amazed if the same wasn't available for other markets.

Ok - but since the car in question here is in Texas, USA that's why I'm curious.
Chrome was the standard trim in 2012 with the M sport Pkg, but that changed to shadowline in 2013. That's why I'm trying to figure out how he did it.

I also traded an 11 Z4 for a GC back in February. Mine is Space Grey with Black nappa interior. It is a 13 with MSport and has chrome trim. I thought I was probably the only person moving to such a large car from the Z. Congrats, the red looks great.

In the UK shadowline has always been standard trim for MSports. So your 2013 specification is just what ours has been all along in this respect. In the case of my car the dealer simply selected chrome trim as a no cost option (thereby replacing the shadowline it would have come with as standard). I'd be suprised if the same wasn't possible in the US.

Thanks- that's what I'm hoping when I place the order. I understand there is a special order form for small requests like this. And that's what I'm hoping to hear from the original poster of the red GC.

Mine is 2013, i got a great deal because it was the last 2013 at my local dealer. The car was already in stock, I don't have the window sticker to look for the options, but it has the MSport package with the 20'' wheels, the extended napa leather with the leather dashboard and the executive package.

Just standard. I honestly didn't do any research on this car. I went to go buy a 5gt and impulse purchased this.
