anyone using lithium batts on their M6?

Looking at a few options around the 500$ mark.. Not sure if its worth the potential hassle with electronic gremlins emerging with a light weight lithium bat. Any feedback appreciated!

I would advise against anything other than a brand new battery from the dealer. BMW's are very finicky when it comes to power, voltage, etc. and changing the battery to aftermarket has always caused problems in the past. If you are looking to shave weight, start with the seats, exhaust, etc. and go from there.

^ this. I would never mess with anything other than an OEM battery or an OEM spec AGM battery. Also remember, when a new battery is installed, it eventually needs to be coded/adapted to the car. It's related to telling the car there's a new battery and to adjust the draw rate.
