Which wheels do you have and are you thinking of going with non run flats?

Then I would go with continental DWS in stock size.

I live in Boston area. Do you drive your car in the snow and push it in the winter? I have Michelin PS2s and they're unbelievable good. I hated the runflats, but I don't need to sell you on the that. I had a bad experience with Contintals with vibrations, but I'm willing to chalk that to bad luck because a lot of people love them. There was someone selling 20" tires in the classifieds section a while back, maybe he still has them.

Full disclosure . . . I have an F-350 I drive that my business owns for plowing so snow isn't an issue for me.

I second this. DWS06 has been the hands down preferred all-season tire for many euro cars and trucks.

If you're looking to try to save a bit, I would recommend getting Nitto Motivo All-Seasons. I have it on my X5 and it's an amazing all-season tire for the money. My 20 inch set cost me $750 shipped when it went on sale

Yeah, after driving on run flats, almost any non run flat tire will feel better

Run flats suck so bad! Unbelievable that BMW sells cars with them.

I am picking up a 2015 6 Gran Coupe next week and it needs tires. Having the dealer put on Michelin Pilot 4S instead of the crappy Dunlops that are OEM.

I've had top level Pirelli, Michelin, Bridgestone and Continental max performance summer tires on my 535i over the last 7 years. I now have both the 535i and the 640i GC running on Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT runflats, and I am absolutely in love with them. And I have to say, particularly since the 5 is lowered an inch, I wouldn't switch to non-runflats because IMHO the stiffer sidewall offers a bit more rim protection from the godawful potholes.

You are the first person I have ever heard say they prefer run flats. Runflats don’t provide more rim protection. In fact, you are much more likely to bend a rim with run flats because the tire doesn’t give on impact like a normal tire does.

Run flats? NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Thanks to the good advice from upstate650 just got the Continentals DWS installed.
WOW what a difference!
Turns out I was driving a F150 all this time, and not a luxury German car.
Can't believe all those holes and bumps on the roads are simply gone!
And oh what a smooth & quiet ride it is now!

Fully agree someone in Bavaria should re-think these horrible run flat hooves.
As the guy at the store said "run flats are good for one thing only - running on flat..."

BTW - they come with 1 year full warranty (fix or replace) AND road side assistance including towing up to 150 miles. So I am not even going to bother with a spare...
