Spec sheet for my 640d
Hi all, just in the process of swopping in my RR for 640d Msport. Im looking to carry out a few mods on the car to hopefully improve looks mpg & performance. Quick question as its a 2013 car is it ECU out for a remap?

If you mean can it be re-mapped - answer is yes. If you are asking whether that will invalidate the warranty - answer is yes. I am waiting for mine to expire also to re-map it.

What i am lead to believe is... Post 2012 bmw's ecu needs removing in order to remap the ecu rather then tuning via OBD port. The downside to this is bmw will be able to see that the ECU has been opened voiding any warranty or "compensation work"

The warranty would definitely be void as I've already asked the garage. I am intending to do it once it expires so only 2 more years to wait - mine is 2014 model. |
