I just ordered 255/35/20 and 295/30/20 PSS for my m5 wheels, lowered on H&R. I will let you know how it turns out.

Thanks - likewise I also ordered 255/35/20 and 295/30/20 Michelin PSS on 343M M5 wheels. Haven't lowered the car yet.

I am hoping the 640d Gran Coupe is no different than the Coupe...

Hi Vaio23,

I saw the pics of your car lowered on H&R (http://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1048134) - What mm spacers do you go for front and rear? Hows the ride quality (do you feel road bumps more?). Also interested to hear why you chose that and not eibach but also how your H&R springs would look with your new tyre size on M5 wheels...

Cheers

I have updated the pics on my thread with new tires. I went with 255/35/20 front and 295/30/20 rear, was going to go with 285 but were on back order. The 295 stick out a little bit give it a more aggressive look so I guess 285 would be best. I have to spacers front or back and since the springs were installed I haven't noticed to much of a difference in ride, very minimal if any.

Very nice!!! I thought the 295 is flush based on Palomequet pics so didnt think it was going to stick out I've ordered it now so no going back...

When you say "I have to spacers front or back and since the springs were installed" did you mean "no spacers" or two spacers?

How was the difference in ride from stock to the H&R springs?

Yes sorry, I meant I have no spacers on my wheels. Ride is just a bit more bumpy but not noticeable.

Nice - don't think it needs spacers because of the tyre size... I take it the larger tyres don't rub anywhere (even full turning lock) or speed bumps? We have quite a few of those in the UK!!

Check your tire pressure and adjust it as comforts you.

Hey Vaio23/Palomequet,

When you say the 295 stick out - I've just realised in the UK (legally), the tyre tread needs to be within the wheel arch. If you stand directly behind the car, does the wheel stick out beyond the arch?
