Aftermarket Seats | Recaro Sportster CS
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I've clocked 2,000 miles on the M6 and my only gripe with the car is the seats. They're too flat and there's not enough bolster support for my 6'+ 155lb frame. First question - Considering the seat belt is attached to the stock seats is there anyway with or without harnesses to swap the stock seats out. Second - For those of you with the recaro sportster cs seats can you please chime in on how you like them, on and off the track. I do alot of driving on and off the track but I'm mainly concerned about long distance drives. Please chime in - Any information would help!

Seat swap in modern BMW's is not trivial as they have integrated side airbags, passenger seat occupancy sensor, and active headrests. This is in addition to any mechanical/fit issues that might arise. Having said that, if you are in for some research what you might want to try is to fit the BMW performance seats for the e92 M3,which are sportster CS's with side airbags. After you fit them then you will need a coding expert to code your car for manual seats, no occupancy sensor, and no active headrests.
