Black Kidney Grills for GranCoupe W/O the M logo

Anyone seen em yet for '14 640i or 650i GC?

I called Turner Motorsports already in response to what they have. . . Their offering here has the m6 logo, and I'm not trying to be a poser: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-18...i-650i-m6.aspx

Its actually incredibly misleading, as the pictures from the above link don't match up, the proper image is here where you can clearly see the spot for the "m6" logo: http://www.turnermotorsport.com/sear...earchId=572417

I just want my damn grills blacked out! Its a lease so I'm not dipping them either. . .

Have you looked at the BMW performance versions, they have a gloss black surround and black chrome slats.

part numbers Left Kidney Grille Black F06/F12/F13 51712297595 and Right Grille Black F06/F12/F13 51712297592

I have the M6 grille without the M-logo on a 2014 640 GC.

I will post pics when I return to town.

It's actually not the same as the M6. The M6 grille has contrast with a chrome lining around the outside. The accessory part is entirely black. I think the M6 chrome border looks better, especially on black cars, because it doesn't lose the entire detail of the grille. If you do all black grille on black car it just looks like a black blob since there are no contrasting pieces.

All black grille without contrasting pieces is the point, it looks good.

I don't agree. It makes everything simply disappear on a black car since it's all the same color. Might as well just have a flat surface as the front of the car then.

I disagree with you as well. I feel like all black grills make the front end look way more aggressive then the chrome. The whole point of replacing the front grills are to get away from the chrome otherwise you can just keep the one that you get from factory.

I agree about the all black grille. The pictures does not do justice. It looks very aggressive in person.

There's a reason they don't do it standard on the M models or any model. And of course they'll also sell anything in addition that people pay money for, which is why you'll be given the option.

You have a link for this?

No success thus far searching.

BTW, is yours matte or gloss? I'd like to find a gloss piece to match the rest of the trim.

FYI I ordered the BMW performance grills from BMWUSA.com. I'll post pics once I get em and have a few mins to put em on later this week, before and after. . . The car also needs to be clean or else its camera shy, and with all the snow its impossible these days. . . They'll be up by the end of the week!

I'm not one to go for the murdered-out look whatsoever (and for the most part I dislike black wheels on a car, too) but IMHO, the all black grilles are just impressive... and increase the aggressive look considerably. Especially on a black, Singapore Grey or Mineral Grey BMW. YMMV.

I have to agree with these guys, all black looks amazing! Stylish and a bit agressive

Before and after installation of the BMW performance grills. They aren't actually flat black, the inserts have 1 black chrome strip on them each. I think it is the perfect match for the car since its got shadowline and there are still some little chrome elements around (BMW logo trim, door handle trim etc).

Link has the M6 style double bar grille w/o the ///M6 logo plate on them.

IMO the best looking grille of all the OEM looks. Available in matte black, gloss, and CF.

You could make it look OEM by using the stock front grill piece as they split in half.

Thanks for the link. I think I may have to pick these up and sell my OEM BMW Performance grills since they still have a little chrome in them. I prefer the all gloss black.

My car is coming with those grills, I guess they are part of the M Sport Edition but isn't yours the same? ...I think I like better the double bar style, like on the M6... all black and no ///M logo of course

Here's mine:

Here's mine:
Look closer at my pictures. The top two are the same as yours, full chrome. The next ones have gloss black around the trim and "black chrome" strips which is quite a bit darker in the gills themselves. The sides of the gills are also black.

I'll take pictures under better lighting so you can see the difference more, from the same angle as my first two OEM chrome shots.

I also think I prefer the double slat look.
