It's hideous. I cant believe they are replacing the 6 series GC with that heap of crap. If the GC reappears as an 8 series with a 50K price bump, I will be looking at an S7 or Panamera GTS

This is simply a restructuring of the BMW naming convention/line up. The 6GT is NOT a current 6 Series (GC or otherwise) replacement but simply a new name for the current 5GT model.

Dont understand the rationale behind it though. A 5 series GT would have been fine.

all I can say to BMW is this.
DO NOT MAKE A 6GT.
The 6er should be a slick sports car and not a family saloon.
SO PLEASE BMW KEEP THE NAME at 5GT
