Does anyone else think that all BMWs are starting to look exactly the same? Like new models of 7,6 and 5 series look exactly like each other except 7 series are the biggest ones!

I think they do, the kidney grille has a lot to do with it, but in a good way. The 5er is a perfect example. People either hated or love the bangle look, the new generation of BMW's are subtle but look classy and I think it works really well.

Exactly what I think. People are always saying 'it's the same, looks the same, can't tell the difference, blah blah blah..', but me, I think they're unique at their own way, and for me, these are one of the best generations these series have: the F12_13 6 series is the most beautiful one of the whole series, the F10_11 is one of the best, and F01_02_03 7 series is again, the most gorgeous of the whole series...
Sorry to hear if you have a different idea, but that's my opinion... (:

I think it looks great in these pictures. Especially the headlights, you'll be able to spot this car from a mile away.

I bet the F32 coming in 2013 takes a lot of cues from this car.

And what is that pop up thing on the dash ahead of the Nav display?

I get what people are saying with the previous generation that each line had their "own look", and I appreciated that. But the way I look at the new generation is: everyone knows BMW is known for their engines/performance, the body doesn't need to show it. Instead lets go for a more simple and elegant look (I have to refer back to the F10 5er) - remind people that BMW is more than just the performance, they're also luxury cars. That's just my two cents.

Pictures really don't do it justice. When I went to pick up my MINI, I saw someone taking delivery of their F10 w/ the M Sport package and it just looked amazing! Not that the stock 5er needs anything done to make it more amazing than it already is but with the M Sport package, it makes the 5er look more complete.

It's the center mid-range speaker that pops up.

From the release notes:
Quote:
As soon as the audio system is activated, the central element containing the integrated mid-range speaker pops up, prompting the tweeter lens to be extended at the same time. The tweeter lens distributes its signals evenly at 180 degrees throughout the interior. This extraordinarily harmonious horizontal dispersion of sound is achieved through the special design of the lens, which also minimizes unwanted vertical sound dispersion.

Not bad actually, much better than the convert...Still would never buy it, I'd rather buy a ship instead of this big heavy boat.
