$51,000 for some options that are within the normal F13 M6 options list, some carbon fiber laser engraved bits, black rims, contrast stitching (cool) and topped off with some stickers?

As Vince Lombardi famously barked from the sideline "what the hell is going on out there?"

The price for it is three kinds of crazy.

They should have added some special BMW M GmbH down-pipes and a whole new exhaust system on top of all of that and said "M6 Competition 700" that would have been dope.

And even with all of that dope hardware it still would not even be in the vicinity of $167,000.

A true competition package would offer racing style seats and several deleted options such as radio/ac. The HP figure makes sense here; this car's a porker.

I'm sorry. It's already bad enough that BMW allows a car to even have 10k+ worth of options but when one package is almost half the cost of the car, I think that's pretty ridiculous and start to question why some of these things weren't already included given the 100k+ price tag. I think this is absurd regardless if you have money or not.

Yeah, I hear you. But I do think that 100 is a small enough number that even #100 is pretty darn special. Same with with the 50 Jahre M5.

The car is a "Competition" edition, not "Soft Blvd Cruiser" edition. The stripes are a tribute to this car, perhaps the greatest competition BMW of all time.

Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion, it's just curious to me that some people don't understand why the car has stripes!
