recall
Month ago I took my car to the service to get oil change. The guy recommended me to get a recall to check and change all needed part and update the software as they said. Hey said BMW just released that recall to 750,650,550. I couldn't do it I was traveling 2 days after and it takes week and half.. so is there anyone got the recall? What did they do?

Might be the Customer Service Campaign for the N63 engines?

OP, do you have a 2012 650i? If so, this is the N63 Customer Care Package. It's a recall that BMW is not calling a recall. The actual time to perform the work is less than a week and a half, but the problem is that the parts need to be ordered and delivered from BMW. This is responsible for the delay.
Check out that above link. In short, they will test the timing chain and replace if needed. Other items include the MAF sensors and injectors. Other items related to the N63 running hot are also replaced to attempt to avoid/forestall future problems. |
