Pretty impressive......

So after running my 640d since it was remapped around town etc has averaged 28mpg but with a heavy foot.

A little trip today plodding at the speed limits really impressed me considering we had rain and traffic. Not bad for 360-385bhp

Yeah I'll do it on the way back Monday. It wasn't at 56mph. That was the average speed for the whole journey as of variable speed limits on the m25&m3 but most was 65mph. I'll post on Monday :-)

I average 40-45 but yet to carbon clean or remap. But if its 50+ then it pays for itself in no time as im doing upwards of 800miles a week

What I've noticed with the remap is it does drink it when driving it like you stole it but when plodding it's much better. See what it's like with normal driving Monday.

Is that on Eco Pro mode? Also, do you need to tell the insurance about the remapping? Also, with these automatics, there are no clutches so no risk of the clutch being unable to handle the torque right?

Yes I used Eco pro as it was mostly motorway driving with traffic here and there otherwise I'd normally have it in comfort or sport mode.
Remap who's car is remapped? Must of been from the previous owner ;-)
Yes it's advised to let the insurance know also the gearbox handles it well but I wouldn't want to push it to its total limits. The tuner said he rained it back as I didn't want it too high.

Advise to tell insurance, more like you have or end up voiding it. Not worth the risk as if it is cancelled you will have great difficultly getting any insurance.

Over the mpg that is impressive my gc got 46mpg over 275 miles to chester last weekend. Most of that down south was around 60-65, once further north more like 70-75.

Doesn't having the dpf removed make the car produce smoke? Plus they are making plans on Mot's to actually check dpf's properly so it will not pass a mot. Worth thinking about.

Am I the only one getting around 23mpg around town? I've definitely got a heavy right foot but that's just in comfort not even sport mode!

Could it be because I only have about 4k on the clock and the engine has not really broken in fully?

I think best I've had on a trip up to Scotland is about 32mpg...and that was averaging between 75-90.

Mine is very low around a few miles and around town so yes. Although not that low.

Mileage won't help as it is not fully run in, but mine has only got 5.5K on and it's MPG is better.

Over the 32MPG to Scotland, well I took mine from Kent to Chester and got 40MPG, on the way back it was 46MPG. Problem is my total speed was slightly slower and on the M25 was somewhat slower!
