M6 and R8
Getting ready for some research for the next car. Huge BMW fan no matter what but for whatever reason, the Audi R8 keeps crossing my mind. Did this happen to anyone? I know it's two pretty different cars but thoughts?
Best and hope everyone is having a great new years, John

I test drove one a few months ago and wasn't impressed. It is noticeably slower than M6, not as comfortable to drive, old tech compared to BMW. I would never buy an R8 for everyday use, but that's just my opinion.

V10 is a great car. But omost 40k more then m6 go for m6. With that 40k saved put 4k more into a catless down pipe and tune and make over 700hp

If your deciding between an R8 and M6 I think it can only mean two things in advantage of the R8. Looks and sound, not saying the R8 is better looking but it just has that distinctive look we've all grown accustomed to. Im all for attention And my M5 gets plenty of it, but I think the R8 would just draw to much unwanted attention. Spend some extra money, get an exhaust and catless DP and I think it sounds just as good or if not better then The R8. Speed wise the M6 is faster .

We have an R8 V10, it is a great car but not really a daily driver. Our version is a manual. My M6 grancoupe is a perfect daily driver. With the R8 you get the looks for sure.

I think they are very different animals IMHO. The M6 is more of a GT while the V10 R8 is more of a pure sports car. I wouldn't drive the R8 V10 daily while I would drive the M6 daily. The M6 is a more well rounded package, but the R8 does what is supposed to do quite well. Offer a dependable "entry" level exotic.
The M6 vs. the V8 R8 M6 wins hands down though. The M6 does offer several tech advantages as well being a new platform. |

Thanks everyone for chiming in. Meant to respond earlier but the mobile app crashed on me and naturally my long post did not get saved lol.

Probably need to ditch the R8 idea until I reach my mid-life crisis haha Quote:
