back seats weight?

anyone know what the back seats weigh? Man I'd love to pul them out and put a shelf back there or something. Back seat delete mod. Maybe they don't weigh as much as I think.

Actually, as the back seat is REALLY tiny I wish BMW offered a rear seat delete and it came with a nicely done storage area/system.

How much do the front seats weigh? Recaro Profis or Pole Positions would save a heck of a lot of weight. The weight of the M6 is the only thing that lets it down in my opinion.

Adding up some of the parts, I'd say about 65lb each for standard seats, 70lb for M multifunction, give or take a few lb.

again, another good "package" idea. Expand or create another competition type package but with saving weight. I'd love to see an M6 200 pounds lighter. I would give up power seats and such for it.

Yup, I would love to see something like:
1. ceramic brakes(saves 45 ounds)
2. 19 lightweight rims(30 pounds)
3. fixed recaro non-power seats and rear seat delete. (100 pounds?)
4. a "real" ECU tune pushing power to 600 brake horsepower(easy to do)
5. Lightweight exhaust system(20 pounds)

I think 250 pounds is a realistic goal. Sell the package for 20K option. I'm in.

I think it's a great idea to reduce the weight of the M6. Has anyone done any weight saving mods?
