And no, I didn't lease my 650i. I think you need to read up more about leasing vs financing. Just like you, I've leased and financed cars since the 90's.

Maybe I can shed some insights into this. I'm bored at work and decided to browse the other BMW forums.

To answer your main question of major price drops. It depends on the market like everyone is saying. If there are a crap ton of 6 series on the lot they will more than likely make something happen for you.

The deals that you see on BMW USA that says lease well equipped for X ammount. If you read the fine print. It will say dealer contribution "i.e dealership discounts the price of the car" The lease will have GAP inlcuded in most states.(Check with dealer)

Money down on a lease is to get your payments where it is at but if you can do without it that would be better because at the end of the 3 year term you hope to have the equity equal to what you had down. BMW also offers a 1 Pay Lease to where BMW pays for the taxes, your money factor is than reduce, and what happens is you pay your 36 monthly payments at once.

Hope this helps.

No doubt these are good rates for a lease on a $90k + car. But I would feel a bit short-changed by a 10k annual mileage cap. I like driving the car too much

You can pre buy miles at a 20% discount so it works out to around 16 cents extra miles so at 15,000 more miles if you want to 15K per year you pay about $66 more on your monthly.

Yes, BMW gives excellent discounts for those that know how to drive their cars. Cough. Cough.

Good luck finding the car in the color combo you want with the right msrp for the lease deal. I'm desperately trying to find a 640i convertible in black/cinnamon with the $83,775 sticker but there are none to be found. All the 640i's are $90,000 . My dealer told me that if they special order it, it'll take 3 months to get the car which is well past the current lease deal expiration date and that the deal is based on delivery date.

Well it takes 2 months to order a BMW unless you are doing an individual order. Also it will be faster if the dealer has build slots for a 6 series. So if I were you I would check to see if the dealer has open build slots in the next 6 weeks. This promotion is probably going to last till end of december. Once you can confirm that place your order and BMW Financial will give you the promotion for 60 days from the date of your order east cost and 90 days for the west coast.

Also another way to get your lease cost down is to put a security deposit down which is refundable at the end of the lease. You can put down a maximum of 7 deposits. Each deposit is equal to your monthly payment rounded to the nearest 50/100. So if your monthly is 949 , your deposit is 950. For 989 it is 1000. Each deposit knocks down the mf by .0007.

With the dealer I work with in Florida it is very simple, I call her and tell her the car I want. I pay $500 over invoice + a very small mf percentage to the finance department. On top of that all the discounts and manufacture rebates the car has. With her it does not matter what brand, mercedes, bmw .... or when the car came to the market new/just released....

I wound up calling 30+ dealers around the country and none of them had the convertible that I wanted. The ones closest with $86k-89k stickers were leasing for about $900/mo and $6,000-$8,500 down. Way more than I wanted to pay. I decided that the coupe is the way to go at this point, so this weekend I'll be picking up my new 640i, Black Sapphire/Black Dakota, LED w/ 19''s, Luxury Seating, Premium Sound, and BMW Apps. $795/mo, $6k down. Can't wait!

So I confirmed with Braman BMW in West Palm Beach, FL on Thursday that I'd be in first thing Saturday morning to pick up my 640i and the salesman said he'd have the car ready for me when I arrive. I've been so excited to get my new car, I actually had to take something to help get me to sleep Friday night. I woke up bright and early Saturday morning and started my drive. About 20 minutes in I received a call from the salesman letting me know they sold the car the night before to one of their employees. I didn't even receive an apology or an offer to locate another one, just an explanation that the lease deals are so great that they're having trouble keeping them on the lot. What a dick, but it's his loss -- my dad plans on getting the new 3er when it comes out and I'm trying to convince my mom to get the 7er when her Jaguar lease is up next summer (although she wants another Jag for some reason) -- I can assure you that they won't be purchasing from Braman.
I called my previous salesman at Vista BMW in Coconut Creek. Thankfully they had the same car but in Orion Silver/Ivory and even beat Bramans' rate by about $25/mo.
I didn't love the color combo at first, but it's absolutely grown on me. Orion makes the 6er look even more rich and classy, not to mention it's not a very commonly seen color.
I'm having the windows tinted tomorrow, more pics to come!

Just premium sound and 19''s. Coming from my 335, so much comes standard on the 6er, everything else is just an extra.

Can you do this in New York?? Any leads on the downpipes???

I'm a bit late to reply to this . . . seriously, that is crazy. 6s are barely moving here in Nor Cal and I'm seeing large discounts advertised on dealer sites. The above is stunning; glad it ultimately worked out for you.

It was almost impossible for me to find the car I wanted exactly the way I wanted it at the right price so I just decided to order my cars and ever since then I've been very happy. Just go order your car and don't mess with that type of stuff again its very frustrating I know I've been there.
