UK 640d GC - auto dip passenger door mirror

Hi All,

A quick question - have noticed recently that the auto dip mirror is dipping a lot lower than before - is there anyway to set how deep the dip goes when reversing ?

Thanks

Not seen any settings myself but compared to the F30 it is certainly lower...

Not tried it but I wonder if the amount of tilt depends on where it starts from, if you see what I mean.

Will try later when its home time !

Asked my SM at the dealer the answer is a simple no.
He agrees though it is very low and not to be able to set it is a rather silly oversight

Have you tried adjusting it while in reverse ?
It works on some models but not others.

Hi - yes I have, but sadly when you change the mirror selector switch to the left dipped mirror, it returns to the normal position from the autodip position.
