For Sale: 1984 M635 CSi
sold This Diamond Black/Buffalo Black M 635 CSi coupe has been my daily driver since 1998, when I completed a total overhaul of the m88/3 engine to new specifications, with the following exceptions: I installed a double row timing chain, a la US version M6, I did the dual valve spring upgrade, and I employed .020" over stock forged pistons with no-gap rings. I re-used the original cams and crank, had a machine shop dress the valve and valve seats, bore the block and balance the connecting rod small ends. All new seals, gaskets and hoses completed the task and the engine has been run on full synthetic Mobile 1 since after the break-in. The 5 speed gearbox is original and fuel consumption is 25 mpg highway at 65 mph. Oil consumption has been within specification for all the 141k miles since overhaul. The car has 267k total miles since new. The body is clean, straight, and accident free with only a small amount of corrosion behind the left front wheel. The car has been maintained, by me, in a solid road worthy condition. The driver seat is worn beyond repair and should be replaced but the rest of the interior, including the dash and headliner, are in very good condition. I have replaced or repaired many components over the years. The car has been in California and Colorado its entire life. I am the 4th owner and have maintenance receipts back to the federalization in 1984. I have a clean title and the DOT/EPA release papers. I have manuals, microfiche and reader, spare parts, old parts, original metric wheels and TRX tires. The car rides on 16" BBS silver rims with new g-Force Super Sport 245/50ZR16 tires.
