2016 Changes
Wow, I was checking out bmwusa.com the other day and realized the 2016 model did not get a lot of love from BMW.
1. No more Imola red (ok, probably not a big seller, but still a stunning color if I do say so myself!) 2. The trim! Fineline Oak is now Fineline brown and it looks terrible in the configurator on bmwusa! (have not seen in person). 3. The M Sport Edition no longer includes Driver Assistance Plus (an extra $1,700 now?) 4. Smart Phone integration is now a $200 option (seriously BMW, shame on you for charging for this) 5. I think LED lights are now standard, but the M Sport Edition did not go down in price? Also see #3 above 6. Equivalent car seems to be up about $3,500 from the 2014 with same options. On the plus side the Mediterranean blue looks sweet. Also it appears you can get the standard chrome trim if you prefer even with the M sport edition AND you can get the blacked out trim without it ($). Still, I'm surprised that they made the car less affordable.

I'm really not trying to be or sound pompous, but really all the big changes happened with performance with the TU in 2013 and I Drive tech for 2014. Since then it's been pretty much on cruise control with the 6'er. The 2016 LCI is truly a non event.

If I had to guess, it seems like the new model will be out as a 2018. So the lci might just be for this year and next, which would make sense on why they didn't change anything.
