Not sure why no one think this car looks good... First off, it's still in somewhat testing, you can't justify that the car is going to look bad when some of the body panels and lines are still covered up, also the production wheels are not on it. Second, not sure what the obsession with Bangle is all of a sudden. In my opinion, I didn't really care for his design with the 5 series on up, I mean they are all stunning cars, but to me he was starting to take away what BMW styling has been all about. Which is simple, sporty, elegant design with aerodynamics catered to each car to be able to perform. The new 5, 6, & 7 series are starting to come back to that. I can't wait to see the new 3er and 1er coupe, I think BMW is going to hit a home run with their whole lineup

As I mentioned previously the car is on 18" winter tyres hence why the gap is evident. As you know the large size of optional wheels for the new 6er Convertible is 20" and these will also be available for the Coupe.
The automatic distraction in the pictures is of course the wheels that make the car ill-proportioned and basic looking. Think back to the Concept Coupe and the larger wheels working on that or indeed the Convertible to see what the car will look like when launched.

I just think the new 7, 5 and 6 are somewhat bland and safe designs. They don't look bad but I don't see them as very exciting. I thought the new Z4 was a step in the right direction but I have to agree with a previous poster that this is not what I want my $80,000 car to look like.

The current 6 is more aggressive and characteristic in my opinion. Like said here before, all models are starting to look the same now...

Not feeling it
I don't know, looks to me like the love child of a Honda Accord and Oldsmobile Aurora. Too vanilla.
I wanna like it, but I'm hoping for more out of the Gran Coupe. |

Is it me or did BMW copy the 2001 Honda Accord coupe with this piece of garbage 6er? WTF are you doing to my BMW?
I've written this reply about 5 times. Harsher and harsher each revision. Instead, I will simply say: E!#13gq43!#!@#!$ And a big middle finger to the current BMW design team. They can, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart, GTFO. Please. Now. |
