So who designed the 373M alloy?
The 20" stock rim 373M is a very deceptive design.
It looks good, it runs well, and with 5 double-spokes you would think it is easy to keep clean. Erm, NO. I have just realised what people mean by the 'gutter' and how, and i dont even know how they managed this, this groove runs all around the wheel including behind the spokes! Impossible to clean without making a serious job of it!! So whoever you are, Mr/Ms Designer you, of the 373M, get out of bed and in my garage now?!! You have cleaning duties!!!! [Having the wheel glass coated with Modesta BC-06 next weekend to save me the trouble!!]

Most ///M rims are like this. Some base rims are even getting this to help improve brake cooling.
I feel your pain. It takes a while to clean them good.

Hi there - slightly off topic but I am trying to find out if these wheels are diamond cut? I'm looking for alloy wheel insurance and some insurers won't cover diamond cut alloys. Thanks in advance.

My 313's had that on my 3 series agree absolute pain. Only noticed it on the 373's on the 6 Yesterday as the brake dust is starting to gather there. Maybe when said designer has finished cleaning your wheels he can pop around the corner and clean mine as well.
Unstoppable, No they thankfully aren't diamond cut. |

You can use any type of coating, the brake dust still needs to be cleaned off the back channel. I actually pulled my wheels when I got it from ED delivery & cleaned the interiors & coated with sealants. Also installed custom MGP aluminum caliper covers. Helps with brake dust. ( and hated the black plain calipers)

Put some of the Opti Gloss Coat. Makes it substantially easier to get the dirt off, even a paintbrush might do it.
Well... If you can get the coat on. Haha. I slay myself. |

Nice wheel designed by someone who hasn't cleaned a rim for a long, long time....
