640d - Scraping/grinding noise at low speeds on cold start
Wondering if someone can advise on this...my 640d seems to be making this grinding/scraping noise, which seems to be coming from low speed wheel rotation on cold starts.
It does go away after the brakes are warmed up a bit. It sounds exactly like the noise that you get with new brake discs/pads when they are 'box fresh' and are bedding in. But usually the noise goes away. I did have new front pads (genuine) but nothing is wrong with them. My dealer tells me it is a characteristic of it and nothing is wrong or I don't have warped discs or anything. Any ideas? |
