Picking up My F12 M6 This Weekend
By biggest issue is whether to go with 21" wheels or just run the current set of 20" ADV10's that were mounted on my E90 M3. I will most likely go with the KW HAS kit since it allows for some more flexibility and a better ride. But my worry is that I will still end up with a significant wheel gap if I run the 20" wheels. The wheels are currently being refininished Satin Black Face + Gloss Black Lips. The M im picking up is Saphire Black on Sakir.
NYC roads are not too friendly to 21" wheels running Rubber Band Tires so there is a preference to having the extra rubber on the 20" wheels. Thoughts on the wheel gap issue? Please feel free to post pics if you are running the KW HAS kit and are on Factory or Aftermarket 20" wheels. Thanks!

I have requested the Offfsets from ADV since they dont release that info with the purchase of their wheels. I did have a chance to test fit them on my friends M6 coupe and they fit pretty flush. May need a 5mm spacer in the rear and a 10mm up front.

These cars don't have wheel gap with 20's. I personally think that 21's are too big for the 6....then some still lower the car and it looks ricer-ish.

If the offset is fine and you're running with 265/35 or 275/35 at the front and 295/30 or 305/30 at the rear you'll be fine.
You may be running 265/30 and 295/25 or something at them moment on your E90, that would make the gap look quite large! |

Congrats on the new F12! Mine is supposed to arrive this weekend as well and I am very excited! Really hoping the rain can hold off a few days so I can enjoy some top down time!
With regard to wheel gap with your aftermarket 20s (which I like the design) IMO it will show a little more than the OEM wheels due to the design of your wheels with the lip can make them look a bit smaller, especially on a big car like the M6. Having said that, there is no way I would jeopardize ride quality, performance, or my ability to enjoy the beast (worrying about bending a wheel) so if your streets are not good for larger wheels I would definitely stick with the 20's. I think with the HAS kit they will look awesome!

I will post pics once the wheels and KW HAS kit are installed. Also picked up a set up Gintani catless downpipes to open her up a bit. Very excited with this new project.

I have an E90 M3 too you're going to miss the weight of the E90 but you'll love the TQ Explore the E diff too, its more fun compared to E9x M3 diff and can handle the dimensions and mass of the M6 quite well. btw I have AMS catless downpipes and Kw V3 up for sale if your interested seems like you enjoy moding. PM me if you're interested. As it related to fitment w your wheels, I think you should be fine.

As for the catless downpipes, I already ordered a set of Gintani tubes. Can't wait to install. Only thing that's throwing me sideways is what Tune to run. I'm not a fan of piggyback tunes. And coming from An ESS supercharged M3, I'm leaning towards the ESS stage 1 tune. What tune were you running? |

Had a great long weekend in Florida. Experience was made even better with the level of professionalism at Braman BMW of West Palm Beach. This was by far one of the most streamlined car buying experiences I've had.
Here she is.....
