Water drips from the ceiling after high pressure car wash
I did some car wash yesterday, and sprayed some high pressure water from the nozzle, and while it's completely dry on all the other areas,
the accompanying seat area hand some drips of water on the seat, probably originating from the lateral upper corner, that is, the point where the front windshield, glass window, and the roof. Is this a common problem? I am afraid that I might have same problem with some heavy rain. All the other areas of the ceiling had no leak, so this could actually be a fault. Could the BMW Service fix this problem easly? Thanks a lot. |

My car is always dry after washing, but I try not to spray constantly in critical places.
I hate machine washing btw, especially with brushes I would not bother about 1 - 5 drops, if more I would consult the dealer. My old Z3 was a bit more leaky than that, but it did not get worse over the years and was not really a problem.

The pressure of the spray is far greater than will likely be encountered by any storm, which is what your car's seals are designed to resist. It just got pushed past the rubber. I would not worry about it unless it persists, and I would chill with the pressure spray wash.

they are not made to handle pressure washer spray. if it leaks during a rainstorm thats the only time the dealership will do something about it. BMWNA even recommends you do not wash ANY of their convertible vehicles with a power washer
