Upgraded My M6 Competition Sway Bars

I have a 2014 M6 Coupe with the Competiton Package.

This model comes with stiffer comp pkg sway bars...the only other option on the market is Dinans sway bar. I tried to do a comparison but was unable. In the search for further stiffness I came up with my own solution.

Although the competition sway bars are more aggressive than a Non-comp pkg M, I still found them to be too soft and the car lacked some direct response. I took it upon myself to remove both bars and I used a drill press to add new holes about .5in further in. to increase stiffness. These bars have the extra space on the tabs for this modification.

The result was an Equal increase front and rear of the BMW Comp Sway bar settings. The car now handles flatter. Under load the car has a perfect neutral slide and im quite happy with the result..

Do you have pictures of the holes you've added?

No pics, but it looks exactly the same as an adjustable bar.. same amount of space between holes.. I made sure there was ample space to keep structural rigidity.. came out great.. patience and the correct drill bit is required

Cant snap pics sorry, car was sold.. however ill explain it better.

You lift the car, take off the front and rear sway bars.. very easy.

You then goto one of those drill/press thats stationary, get a large enough Drill bit that will fit the End Links or Equal to the current holes. Then simply put the sway bar under and drill new holes a few mm up. If you do a google search for adjustable sway bar, you can see how they have multiple holes.. Just drill your own hole closer to the bar.. the farther in, the stiffer.. Make sure you keep everything equally distant and make sure the endlink still fits in nicely. It takes about 3-4 hours and some patience and a machine or DIY garage shop.. Improved the handling

Yea, this should work on normal M sway bars as well. Just check the ends of the bar to make sure there is enough space inward to drill another hole...

My modified bars held up great, flat cornered, and kept the OEM stifness ratio..
