How to completely disable PDC system?

Is there a way to get rid of the PDC system? Software, physically disconnect system? A couple of my parking sensors are faulty and I can’t afford to replace all of them and the bumper at the moment (well I can, but I really would spend that money elsewhere). Anyways every time I throw the car in reserve an annoying error pops up saying that parking assist is unavailable due to the malfunctions. Just want to get rid of that message until I can get around to the repair.

A temporary warning when the system is engaged wouldn't make me want to kill the system...but everyone is not the same. What happens if you disconnect the PDC control unit? Hopefully you let the next owner know or plug it back in if you sell.

The warning is just really annoying. Whenever I shift into reverse the warning pops up instead of the camera and I have to confirm the warning before I can reverse with the camera. I’m an efficient and fast driver so this has to go.

I removed the bumper to discover that it has been repaired poorly before. Lots of bondo and mesh. The front 2 PDC sensors are literally glued/Bondo’d to the bumper as I’m guessing the previous damage was so bad that they had to do that to keep them in place. This is probably why I’m getting the warnings. Whole bumper would need to be replaced.

If you’re talking about that “legal warning“ you can remove THAT with BimmerCode. Much, much simpler!
