Thinking about buying used 2013/14 GC 640 or 650
How are these vehicles? Are they holding up well. I know the 650 engine has some issues but are they tolerable. I have N54 engine in my 335 and though I never went thru the HPFP stuff I know many others did and it could be a nightmare. Now my engine has injector issues and other gremlins. It also has 109k miles. I'm planning to buy used one in the next month or so and debating whether to get 650 or 640 GC

I was on the same fence you're on, and ended up going with a 640. The 650 would have ended up frustrating me - all that twin turbo 8-cylinder power combined with my daily commute would only let me enjoy the potential of all that 8-cylinder power on the weekends. Daily commute + a lot of traffic = unhappiness (many lights on rt 202 between West Chester and Wilmington for those in the area). So I picked an almost fully loaded 2013 640 (minus ventilated seats & 20" wheels) and never looked back. Compared to my prior car, a 2010 535i (n54), the 640 is a godsend when comparing service records. Before I hit 50k miles on the 535 I had the HPFP replaced twice, the injectors replaced 3 times, and the turbos replaced once.
