Zip tie
Hi all , when you zip tie the flaps on msport exhaust do you need to unplug the back pressure hose and then plug hose with something? Tanx

I don't have a video but a quick tip. Take a long object ie. a stick and push the flap open thru the exhaust pipe. As you're pushing it open, look at the valve control on top of the pipe to see how it operates when open. Leave the stick in the pipe to keep the flap wedged open. Then tie your zip tie around the valve mechanism on top of the pipe to keep it open

Hey ty bmwshay , have you heard anything about doing this that Msport exhaust will lose the gurgle when you push a little harder and loosing some power 0-60 this is something I read on one of the BMW club forums , and what about the little black hose doesn't need to be disconnected from the valve itself and then plug with something like a golf....

Ignore the video....doesn't apply to 650 M sport. Just zip tie the actuator arms on both sides while the valve flaps are held open.

Hey guys! I’m new to this form, just picked up a 2014 650i M-sport Xdrive few weeks ago. Do you guys by any chance have a video of the car with zip tie? I’m curious to see what the exhaust sounds like.. also have you guys heard anything on n63intake tune? I’ve attached the link so you can see what tune I’m referring to.

Can someone post pictures of their zip ties method on the 650i? I understand how the mechanism works by opening it manually, but I can't think of a way to make it stay open using a zip tie...
