Yea true - Can you lower the car on eibach or h&r springs without it scraping the inside?

Sorry i sent these messages from my phone and were really brief!

Let me clarify. I know you had said that you went for 255 instead of 265 because it needed 5mm spacers. From that I take it you don't have any spacers. But I've always thought that if you lower a car, it will require spacers to push the wheels out around the arches - with the larger tyres, I was wondering if that is still the case?

Ok, my 650i cabriolet is lowered on Eibach springs specific for this application, I have to use front 5mm spacers because of the huge OE front calipers and the Michelin PSS 255's series are perfectly flush. You can go with 265's but in my case being so anal that small difference is visible. Thanks for your interest.

Ahh understood now! Thanks for clarifying... Mine has the stock GC callipers so doubt that I'll need spacers when I lower it.

I know your 295 works in the rear but I hope my Gran Coupe (640d), doesn't cause any issues - I've just ordered 255/35/20 and 295/30/20 Michelin PSS XL and no refund policy!!

Hope it fits!!

Your GC is going to look and ride wonderfully! Now you have to consider springs, Eibach for a milder drop and H&R for an aggressive stance. Please ask for the right application, in this case for 640d. Congrats.

Oh yes

H&R sounds good but I guess it has a rougher ride quality where you can feel many of the road bumps?

Is that why you went with the eibach?

No, for this specific application I don't like the slammed look of H&R.

I read that there is not much drop on eibach particularly with the M sport. Did you notice a difference? Not sure if that applied to the F06 but just curious.

It is not just the dropping, the handling is improved and the wheel gap looks much better but ask for your specific model application.

Makes sense - would love to see the wheel gap of the same car on both eibach and h&r - plus any review on handling would be a bonus..

I did it on my M4, tried H&R, Eibach, KW sleeves and ended with AC-Schnitzer springs, best of both worlds stance and ride for my own taste and model. You have to consider each application for your specific model since a V6 weights a lot less than a V8.

Would you ever consider 255 F /285 R stance? I'm having to go with 285 on rear due to UK width/wheel arch legalities. Appreciate your thoughts?
