These are the best spy photos yet of the upcoming 6-series convertible! Save for a few pieces of not very disguising tape, the production 6-series cabrio comes into view. The cloth hardtop remains on this 650i convertible (but we've been told that a hardtop option will be available).
Here is the BMW announced production schedule for the F12 / F13 6-series coupe and convertible.

MY 2012:

March 2011 - 650cv
July 2011 - 650cp
September 2011 - 640cp/cv
September 2011 - 650xi cp/cv

Follow full 6-series coverage here: http://www.bimmerpost.com/6-series/

Here is a recent photo which shows what the 6-series production will be:

new 5 and 6 are designed by people with no balls, IMHO. they look a bit too bland and lack the risky look that was and advantage of the previous gen 5 and 6 series. But I guess you must make what majority wants. Same way they made sure that "Wall Street 2" was not about finance but some bloody chick flick film.

The e60 5 series was a different but not sure it was for the better. You are right the new design lacks emotion.

i like how the camo the bmw roundel on the boot lid--like serioulsy that is insulting!

Guys the days of the totally aggressive styling that made your car stand out was gone with the new generation of cars coming out.

Is it just me or does this look like a bland version of the old 6er--doenst look all that different and whatever was aggressive is just toned down.

The hood also is not consistent with the new cars though-that doesnt look right and guessing that is not the final hood

I love it, they cover the BMW front and rear emblems but leave the very obvious kidney shaped grills. They take the car out on the road with the black and white swirled tape and expect this won't attract attention.

I agree with others, not a fan of the color, but what's more interesting is the car is left hand drive but has German plates on it.

BMW really should make something to compete with SL or at least with CLS in sexiness.

I agree with the above statements. This car is quite bland. And it is only slightly different than the previous gen 6. I was hoping they would cure the awful trunk that has plagued the 6 and M6, but it is back to ruin another generation.

This car if at all, is loosely tied to the beautiful gran coupe. Hopefully the gran coupe is not changed much from the concept.

Its funny, people were VERY critical of Chris Bangle's designs when he was in charge of design, but it appears he was cutting edge (at least I believe so). I wish I could see his vision with this new 6 series. The 5 and 6 series are just too conservative looking and very...well, boring as people are saying! I was interested in purchasing the 5 series when it came out but I'm not interested in it now that I have seen it. The interior, however, is a great design and much better than the previous model.
