My 2014 Singapore Grey/SO Competition Package M6

Just a few iphone shots bringing her home from the dealer yesterday. And yes I did take delivery with the Gruppe M intake and do it yourself M performance grills already installed . I will put up more pics after she is detailed, tinted and paint protection film is applied . I've been breaking her in right avg. mpg 7.9 so far The most impressive thing is the improvement in steering feel and chassis over the 2013 non CP I drove in Germany earlier this year.
1.) Steering: Much better feel in all modes of what the front tires are doing, you can even feel expansion joints through the rim( The stiffer bushings are likely responsible for this. The 20% more direct rack makes the sport plus mode which was too heavy for the old looser ratio just right for me. It feels like my poly bushing Z4M which is a big compliment. You now have feedback even on center which is huge for me.
2.) Suspension: The car rides much flatter through the corners and the chassis feels noticeably more rigid w/o compromising ride quality over the 2013. Big win here.
3.) MDM/Diff This car accelerates like my 2010 mid pipe/tune GTR from a dig and out of the corners. I know the car is modulating wheel spin but it is nearly imperceptible and does not seem to hinder acceleration at all. There is less intervention and more slip angle allowed than in my Germany trip M6 which is a good thing for me.
4.) Power : Fantastic acceleration and no perceivable lag in sport plus as everyone already knows. Can't comment on 5500 rpm plus yet as i do a hard break in but don't take her to redline. ( Once engine is warmed I do full throttle to 5500 rpm, engine brake down and repeat, key to proper ring seals)My favorable comparison with my former tuned GTR says it all here, can't wait to take it up to redline and get some baseline 60-130 numbers.
5.) Carbon Ceramic Breaks. Long way over early examples, performs well and quietly even when cold . Very happy with them so far.

Thanks guys , it's definitely my favorite combo out of all the cars I've owned . I was a little worried about the full SO being too much ,but with the dash and door trim being black and the carbon fiber trim it worked out perfectly .

Beautiful car. Nice 2013 vs 2014 CP comparison. I was afraid the suspension on the CP would be too rough a ride for the horrible California roads as my daily driver, but your comment makes me wonder if I should have gone for the CP.

I'm thinking of film for my M6. Did you do the front bumper only? How obvious is it to look at? How much does it cost? I'm in Wilmington, NC.

I did the entire front half of the car including the doors and rockers . If you use Llumar and have a good shop do the install ( I.e wrap the edges) it's unnoticeable .

A few more shots from the photo shoot . I'm already at 600 miles after a week and a half of my no interstate hard break in when engine is at temp plan . Oil level still at maximum . Car is starting to get really strong . Can't wait to take it to redline on the regular . I think it will be a low 8 , 60-130 car stock .
