Meisterscaft EV control add on?

Hi,
I just leased a 2014 M6 and have two local companies in Phoenix that I have contacted to get the Meisterschaft axle back exhaust. I was told by both it is on back order, of course after I put down the deposit. I attempted to pull my deposit and the guy told me that they have the axle back 102 rounds in stock without the EV. He is going to order the EV controller from Meisterschaft and install them at his facility. He says that it is covered under warrenty. I haven't had a chance to call Meisterschaft to confirm, but I was wondering what peoples thoughts were about adding on an EV. Is it fairly simple? Is there welding involved? Any thoughts?
It is back ordered 6 weeks.
