Congratulations on a great build.
They still have this one on the floor, but the only difference between my build and that floor model is that one is Alpine White. Everything else is the same. Good memory!

Anyone have any updates on 2015 MY changes?

So far it appears to be a model year changeover rather than a full LCI and the only confirmed change is the addition of iDrive touch controller.

Great specs! If I got a GC, that's exactly how I would have ordered mine.

You're going to love it!

Cheers,

Congrats to the OP on a nice build.

I also placed an order for a similar '15 M6GC except with Ind. Canyon Brown /CF interior and without the Competition package. However reading all of these posts about the Competition Package, I just might change my build. My car will eventually be my daily driver and will never be tracked, so I'm not sure if the CP will benefit me much. We plan on doing ED in June.

Regarding MY2015 changes, I honestly don't know which have been confirmed. I'm looking at the ordering guide for all 2015 M6's and do not see anything that stands out. For those in the States, the base MSRP has gone up $300, but the Executive Package has come down $700 MSRP.

EDIT:

I just compared the ordering guides for '14 and '15 M6GC:

The BMW NA MY 2015 standard features include the additions of:
544 Dynamic cruise control
653 HD radio
688 Harmon Kardon surround sound system instead of 677 Premium Hi Fi

My source at BMW NA tells me the LCI for the 6 series will be occurring in MY 2016 -- not MY 2015 -- at which time the headlight design will be changing (i.e. at least in the case of the Euro version, these headlights will incorporate the Anti-dazzle/Anti-glare technology on the high-beam side.

For MY 2015 (commencing with March 2014 production), the Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster (DDIC) becomes standard on all non-M6 models. This feature was previously offered as option 6WB within the M Sport Edition (ZMS). Also, Glacier Silver replaces Titanium Silver. Finally, some options have been removed from Packages, and will be offered as standalone options, etc.

Well, it's official -- picking up the car in Munich in May. Just booked our flights and decided to surprise the wife and book us on an Airbus A380 and upgraded us to First Class. I love to fly and fly over 150K miles a year for work and I have never been on this particular aircraft, so I'm not sure if I'm more excited about the flight or picking up the car. I'm really pumped that the day has finally been chosen and it's now official, official! Bring on the ED experience!

I, too, ordered a 2015 M6 GC. While I did not ask for European Delivery, I did ask for Performance Center Delivery. My car currently is at Status Code 153 - Paint Shop.

Here's the glitch. The dealer sent me a copy of the following response from the Performance Center:

"Dear XXXX,

Thank you for submitting a Performance Center Delivery reservation for [JimM6GC]. Unfortunately, this production number XXXX is a new model or new model year and we cannot offer a delivery date at this time. EPA and CARB Certifications are issued by the government and must be obtained for every model every year, regardless of any change (or not) in the production of the vehicle. The vehicle will remain at the VDC/VPC until approvals are all holds have been removed. The vehicle will not ship to The BMW Performance Center or your BMW Retail Center.

Please inform your client that we will contact you with a delivery date as soon as all EPA and CARB Certifications have been received by BMWNA and the Monroney/EPA and Release holds have been removed."

According to my dealer, this means that I cannot get PCD. To me, the response is ambiguous. One meaning is the meaning given to it by the dealer. The other meaning is that a reservation cannot be completed at this time, but they will contact the dealer when the car is released, and the reservation can be made at that time. Did you get such a notification? If so, what did your dealer tell you about the availability of PCD in the event the hold is not lifted before you ship the car back to the US? Does the restriction not apply to ED cars?

That response from the performance center was also received by member X6DB in 2012 in this thread. It appears that the cars in that case were eventually released in August. If the same happens here, that could have a significant impact on those of us who now have an early production date.

BTW, I do notice that the quoted text given by my dealer omits the sentence "Should the client wish to cancel you will need to submit a cancellation form which can be found on CENTERNET" that appears in the above thread, which lends support to my interpretation. I am wondering if the dealer did omit the sentence, if included in the original correspondence, and why.

I'm really sorry to hear that -- totally blows. I was actually scheduled to do ED AND PCD, but I was in a golf cart accident a month ago(we flipped it over -- don't ask) and I tore my rotator cuff and ended up having surgery a couple of weeks ago. Needless to say, I kept ED, but canceled the PCD due to limited driving ability with my right arm. I did PCD a few years ago and it was an amazing experience -- hopefully you will be fine. My ED is all scheduled. Keep in mind that my car will take an additional 6-8 weeks after I drop it off, so I probably won't see it stateside until end of June or early July. By then, I would assume all US restrictions will have been lifted. Congrats on the purchase and can't wait to see pix!

I got my GoPro all tuned up and bought all the necessary accessories to make sure I get a ton of videos too. Too bad it will be my stock exhaust and not the aftermarket exhaust I have ready and waiting for it. I can't wait to have my mods all set up on this beast.

Thanks for the reply, C. Now THAT really blows. A friend of mine who races motorcycles did that several years ago, and that is one hell of a painful injury. Here's hoping for a (reasonably) quick recovery.
