Driver Door Noise

2014 640 GC
Before I schedule an appointment for service I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced the same issue.

There is a ticking/creak noise coming from the drivers door. The door makes the sound all the time and is not generated from bumps. Sounds like it could be door tension against the seals???? Anyone experiencing this?

Thanks

Never experienced drive door noise, but I had passenger side door noise before. Pulled it into the dealer, SA looked at it, and said it was seatbelt hitting the seat. He adjusted the seatbelt position, All problems solved.

Try lubricating the seals with gummy pflege.

I have similar issue, but it think mine is my foot on the accelerator pedal. I think with the run flat tyres the vibration from the road surface is making the knocking noise. It went to the dealer on Friday for them to investigate the door rattle, but they could find it. I need to drive on cruise next time it happens to see if the noise stops.

My old E60, 1st year production, had that, and they replaced seals around both front doors. Well, that was what they did to fix my case.

I had noise from the doors but they were from the wood trim. Not sure if this is what you are experiencing but it is quite a common problem. The dealer fixed it by applying silicone underneath the trim and the problem was resolved.
