AT or MT? Which do you have?
Stick or no stick in a 6? Vote for what you have and where in your 6 series. Don't put what you'd get, or what you want, or what your friend's brother's cousin's ex roommate wanted to get.
Now that I have one on order, I wonder how many MTs there are out there. We had a 2009 Cayenne stick until recently, and it was one of a dozen or so in the US. Loved the confusion from valets- both trying to find the key and the surprise at finding an extra pedal. |

The build-your-own section of the BMW website finally has interior pictures with the manual transmission selected. Took them long enough!

I went for the 8-speed automatic and adore it. I fall into the category of wanting the Ultimate Driving Machine, but I'm happy to let it take over a few driving tasks like shifting gears (and traction/stability - probably won't use Sport+). The difference between Sport and Comfort is significant, so that is enough selection for me. The paddle shifters are fun from time to time For those of you who still want the full driving/shifting experience, I'm glad they offer it for you. I can't believe they put a piece of cheap plastic in place of the center trim. BMW better fix that for y'all.

After testing the 8speed AT I was never in doubt that this was the better choice (for me). Saying that - this is my first car with AT.
And now I am going to get it in my new daily driver as well (F20 120d M package).
