Technical Service Bulletin- steering bearings
My car's in for service (seat again (and again, and again), anti-pinch malfunction, and a ticking noise that has been occurring when turning under load. The ticking was the most worrisome because of the wear and tear the rack gets and the stresses it's under. Turns out there's a TSB on the issue so they remove and repack the bearings. If your car is going in, I'd make sure they take care of it. In my experience, the worse a bearing gets, the more expensive it is to fix and the more problems it causes when it does fail.

Have not had any of these problems despite keeping an eye/ear out. Looks like a one off

??
I thought the TSB was about the steering bearings, not the seats...if so, what build dates are covered by the TSB?

The TSB was for the bearings. I don't know the details, just that the service rep said there's a service bulletin on the bearings so they knew what it was.
