Are 650i GC's reliable - purchasing pre-owned on a budget

Hello all, Just a quick question. I'm looking at getting a pre-owned 2014 or 2015 with limited warranty left on the car. I'm already stretching a bit beyond my original budget to be able to afford a nice 650 pre-owned. If I'm an average BMW driver (currently driving 535XI) Will I be able to afford this car once it goes out of warranty? I think I can make the original purchase happen and get the CPO extended as long as available on the car, but worried I may get myself in over my head on potential repairs maintenance.

How have you guys found your cars as far as reliability and repair? I am unfortunately not in a position to be able to afford these cars at the new sticker price.

Any thoughts?

PS. Just realized I posted in the M6 forum, how do I get this post moved to the 6 Series Forum?

So far, these cars are generally very reliable. The TU motor is much improved over the previous generation. That said, if repair costs are hugely problematic, you would be well advised to only look at CPO models.

Good luck! It is a fantastic platform.
