I am getting a very subtle click or knock coming through my steering wheel when turning at low speeds (2-5mph). I had BMW install H&R springs 2 weeks ago and it is just started recently. Not sure what this may be. Thoughts? I felt it pulling out of my drive way and turning in a parking lot this morning.

here's my thread about the same thing.
http://www.6post.com/forums/showthre...light=knocking
I'm taking my car to McKenna BMW so that Charlie Kim can take care of my issues
Beverly Hills BMW (where I purchased my car) has been very incompetent
They replaced my whole steering rack, but it didn't fix anything.
I told them to replace the bearings as there were many reports of it having issues. They did not listen.

Mine Does this as well.

Santa Monica BMW states it's "Normal"

They emailed BMWNA corporate to see if there's a cause for concern, or any bulletins about it.. also confirmed as "Normal"

In my opinion it may not be a problem but it cheapens the feel of the car. I called my dealer and I will follow up with the forum on what I learn. I've had a great experience to date with them plus I just put a deposit down on another BMW so I should get some answers/ action.

Clicking is occurring in park as well as I turn the wheel right and left at set points. Power steering starts to vibrate on occasion as well as I turn the wheel when parked.

Problem solved...dealer isolated this issue/ cause. My front H&R springs were binding as I turned the wheel and or slowly went over bumps. The binding caused the knock. h&r sent my dealer a sleeve to put in between the problem area and it resolved the issue. BMW grease also works.

did you have to pay out of pocket for dealer to work on your car due to aftermarket parts?

Nope because I had them install the springs initially. Cost was zero, H & R sent some tubing to them directly to fix the problem.
