650i Navigation question

I am new to the fourum and I have a 650i 2007. I am frustrated with not only the Navigstion system the bluetooth connection for my phone automaticlly synced all of my adresses. I have over 2,000 contacts so when it brought the information over to idrive it stopped at Gs likley because of space. That then affects the hands free as well because only half of my contacts are synced.
LOVE my car but frustrated with idrive. Any suggestions on any way to upgrade the system.

I would take it to the dealer and see if they can upgrade the software for you. Your's is a 2007 model. I think in my 2010 model the software allows for significantly more. Not sure if they would charge for that.

Thanks I did and they were absolutely no help and the sales guy basically said oh well. I can not belive I am the only person that has a ton of contacts in my smartphone that does not load all of my contacts to then be able to leverage the hands free/caller is etc..

I also have a 2007 650i vert - I synced up my blackberry torch with my car, and it was able to easily load my 700+ contacts into the directory with no issues. It automatically recognizes the bb when I enter the car about 95% of the time with no issues. Once in a while I will have to turn my bluetooth on and off to get it to recognize and sync up. It sounds like you must have a space problem - maybe too many friends

I live in Marietta, GA and have had decent service experiences at Global - you might give them a call about the issue. Make sure you deal with a service advisor there and not sales.

I noticed you both live in Georgia. Moving to Alpharetta at the end of the year/ beginning of next. We should start a 6 series meet. LOL!!

we should - I've seen a couple other members on another board that are from Alpharetta. There is one meet that is scheduled for sixers in the SE - it is on Saturday March 5 down in Orlando (but a little bit too far for me).

welcome to the area - Alpharetta is nice as most of it has been developed in the last ten to fifteen years. traffic is a little tough during rush hour but a nice place to live.

Thank you Greg. Very much looking forward to the change. i do not think anything is worse than Los Angeles traffic. I will keep you guys posed on the move. My wife and I will be there looking at homes in the coming weeks. We are excited.
