Looks good. I do like the original shiny grills but I'm slowly being converted to gloss black. Did gloss back ever come as an OEM part? I like to keep my cars as OEM looking as possible

I'm not to much of a modder myself but I do like gloss black grills. They are aftermarket (far cheaper) but BMW do do these grills from their m performance range.

Thats ok then, as an OEM option I would be fine with that. I do like the M6 grills, and I do like the newer 9 bar grills, subtle difference but I think it's an improvement. Might look for a set of those

You've convinced me to do mine, I've ordered the BMW performance set which are black surround and black chrome slats. Hopefully they'll look good too!

How did you change your grills? Did you remove the top bumper screws and get in that way or do it differently?

Yes via the bumper screws like in the Video that's on here. It's s bit fiddly and wear some thin gloves too otherwise you'll loose some skin. I got the top and side clips out (via a very small flat head screw driver) and then just yanked the grills out. It will take some force as you can't get to the bottom clips. Good luck and I look forward to some photos.

I tried and gave up. I got the top clips off but didn't see how to get the side clips!

I only got the top side clips off and forced the rest. You need to pull up and pull.

Side clips, while a little more difficult, were easy to get to. I just used a long screwdriver to push the tab in. Bottom 3 clips are impossible. Once I had the top and sides, I yanked hard. In both grilles I broke the exact same clip. No worries though as I just super glued it back on and if I ever want to switch back again (probably would only happen if I sold the car), they should click back in no problem.

I didn't see the side clips at all. Maybe I didn't move the bumper far enough away.
