im not saying nothing can beat it, but from the numerous testing done on it its a bargain supercar, check the nurbergring or top gear and see where an m6 sits. for one its dumb to even argue about a quick roll race lol , for two he wouldnt beat a 2012 stock to stock, if the gtr was runnign the factory set 93 octane. id challenge anyone in sacto area for a race. il lower my boost to match the 2012 hp and il prove it to ya. these type of posts give off false advertisement. i can give you 20 posts of gtrs spanking the m6 on you tube as well...

Because you're not a pro and neither will be the guy you may race in an M6 Real world scenario would be light to light, rolling race on the hwy, rolling race on a frontage road and in some cases, an air strip etc.

you might need your glasses lol , all its says is decat ypipe witch is called a catless midpipe here in the states, whitch might add about 15 hp or so. no tune

GTR fanboys just relax, take a deep breath or 2 or 10 and read this:
All of us already know the GTR has a massive AWD launch system, and there is no doubt in anyone that the GTR will win robot to robot races. What these videos demonstrate is that once traction is out of the way the M6 kills the GTR. Hence the race for 1000m or rolling. The GTR will still have a 1sec 0-100 advantage over the M6, and if it is faster than the M6 then it should keep its lead or even increase it even if the distance is longer than 400m. Correct? The race was in the video was not to determine who has the better traction system or fastest reaction time. Just because a car hits 100 faster than the other, doesn't say it will be faster up to 300km/h or 1km. Rolling start: better understanding of the CARS potential. Standing start; better understanding of the DRIVERS potential or AWD system. |

i was expecting to see the m6 pull away from the gtr, but what i saw in that video... sorry it looked like the m6 was making 200-300 hp more. gtr does the 1/4 mile in low 11's and the m6 pulls away from it like that?
to pull away like that the m6 would be doing low 10's. i would say the guy in the gtr wasnt really racing. Last edited by mainly; 02-20-2013 at 11:43 AM.. |

I've got a 13' GTR Black Edition and run 11.2 quarter mile runs very frequently..
The driver of the car does make a difference. That all being said, the BMW M6 is a monster of a car! We're talking about a twin turbo V8 here guys! 560hp and I've seen M5's and M6's make over 500 hp to the wheels on dynos completely stock. The GTR does lose a large amount of power because of the AWD system but i can tell you a M6 wouldn't pull on a gtr like that if the driver had the GTR in race mode and was a GOOD driver.

teh first mod i did and most of teh gtr owners is a catless midpipe/ or ypipe. this gives the gtrs a much better exhaust sound and like a said around 15hp. and you do NOT need a tune for this. if you eliminate the main cats which are in the downpipes then he would need a tune. i understand that everyone wants their car to be the best and the fastest. but face reality. im talking from my experience, and others i witnessed.
