Traded the GT for a 640D GC

Dealer had a high spec GC that I could not say no to. Deal done and very happy. Weather too bad for decent pics but until then here it is in the showroom.

Nice color combo!

I see a little M emblem on the front fender. We don't have those over here and I've always wondered what "Delete extra external lettering" meant on the vin decoder/order sheet. Maybe it is that?

Doug.
It's an M Sport model and they all have small M's on the front wings. There is a delete option as you say.

I traded in my 530d GT SE for the 640d GC 18 months ago. Love the 6GC on many levels but, have to say, the 530d GT was absolutely brilliant for the time and circumstances when I needed a big, fast, versatile touring car.

Moving to the 6GC has of course restored some of the fun of driving a BMW. It is still quite big and heavy and sometimes i wonder if what I really need to do is get into a M4 or 4er GC.

Anyway, hope you enjoy your new car and drive safely.

Yes I have had that last thought a bit also when I saw the 435 GC at my dealership. Was like it was perfect...not too big and not too small. The styling of the 5 series GT I just didn't like..didn't do it for me. But I do wonder if I may explore a 4 series GC when my lease is up or even before. Afterall I have an X5M for when I want to haul 4 doors and haul azz now! LOL

Congrats! Great Choice! I however do not like the Xenons on a 6 Series... LEDs look much better

That's pretty spooky, I had the chance of a carbon black version of that car back at the end of november. It was parked in that exact postion ! (Menzies stirling)

I dealt with john thomson who cut me a deal £5k 48months £550 a month to take the showroom car as the dealer was going to have to pay for it that month. I really enjoyed the experience, good dealership but I declined only due to the ivory interior, I took a spin up to look at it with my 3 year old. It was just too impractical for my needs and unfortunately they didn't have an equivalent with dark interior.

Sounds like you had a good experience also, what options are on yours ?

I dealt with John Higgins and got a great deal as they were keen to get it sold by year end. I too was worried about the Ivory but it looks great and I don't have little darlings to climb all over it.
Spec was
20inch wheels
Harmon Kardon
Head up display
Multi functional dashboard (really cool)
Heated steering wheel
Four zone air con
Leather covered dashboard
Prof Nav, voice control, through load,
Rear camera
Comfort access
Hi beam assist
Internet
Sun protection glass
Lumbar support
And finally black mats.

Looks great! So what does the optioned M package provide? I find it interesting it was ordered with the M sport but not the LED lighting? Then again, having kids now, lighting and safety options/features seem to take precedence over most others for me these days.

Hey Chris. I think you live near me. Not sure if you drive your M3 in the winter, but there's a great hand carwash place nearby. I PM'd you.
