Telephone and Chimes - Speaker Issue

Hey Everyone,

I just encountered an issue with my 650i. The other day the audio started sounding different, I did not pay much attention till I used the Bluetooth telephone audio. The audio is so muffled, I can barely hear the person on the other line. I also don't hear the "chimes" anymore. The seatbelt/speed warning/ etc.

Could it be that I just blew out the speaker? Or could it be some fuse? I do have warranty on the vehicle, but BMW told me they don't cover blown speakers

Thanks

Your "chimes" settings probably changed by accident. Simply increase the volume, either using iDrive or turning the volume knob while on a call/the chimes are sounding.

I thought that was the case, I increased the volume to the fullest but its still not as what it was before. I guess I just have to take the car in. Thanks

How did you increase the volume? In iDrive menus?

More than likely you have a blown speaker. I have the same issue.
